This is a very good ``mini-monograph'' on implicitly defined difference equations derived from a cash-in-advance model from economics, presenting several new results as well as some known theorems (but ordered in a general mathematical context modeling economical problems) and giving certain original theoretical approaches to classical practical questions. It is pointed out and shown that difference equations have the unusual property of being well-defined backward in time, but not forward in time. In particular results concerning inverse limits on intervals and periods three should be noted as important.
