The authors discuss the existence and uniqueness of fixed points of a class of mixed monotone operators without the assumptions of continuity and compactness. They obtain some new results which extend some previous conclusions in the relevant literature. As an application, the results are applied to study existence and uniqueness of positive solutions for a class of integral equations.
