      The authors consider abstract functional equations of the form \[ \frac{d}{dt}(u(t) + f(t,u_t)) = A(t)u(t) + g(t,u_t), \quad t \in \mathbb R. \tag{1} \] Here, \((A(t))_{t \in \mathbb R}\) is a family of closed and densely defined operators in a Banach space \(X\), giving rise to an evolution operator \(U(t,s)\) (\(t \geq s\)) of parabolic type and asymptotically stable. If \(u : \mathbb R \to X\) and \(t \in \mathbb R\), \(u_t\) stands for the function of domain \(]-\infty, 0]\), such that \(u_t(\theta):= u(t + \theta)\), and \(f\) and \(g\) are functions with values in \(X\) with suitable domain. Let \(h: \mathbb R \to X\). We shall say that \(f\) is pseudo almost periodic if it can be represented in the form \(h = \widetilde h + \phi\), with \(g\) almost periodic and \(\phi\) continuous and bounded, and such that \[ \lim_{r \to \infty} \frac{1}{2r} \int_{-r}^r \|\phi(t)\| \,dt = 0. \] The main result of the paper is that (under some further assumptions) (1) has a unique pesudo almost periodic solution. Applications are given to delayed abstract systems and ordinary neutral systems.
