Let \(G\) denote a connected complex reductive algebraic group and \(X\) a regular compatification (i.e., a normal complete variety containing \(G\) as an open subvariety such that the action of \(G \times G\) on \(G\) by left and right multiplicative extends to \(X\) and such that \(X\) is regular as a \(G \times G\) variety). This paper describes the \(G \times G\) equivariant \(K\)-ring of \(X\), and also the \(T \times T\)-equivariant \(K\)-ring where \(T\) is the maximal torus of a Borel subgroup of \(G\). This is done by extending the method used by Brion to describe the \(T \times T\) and \(G\times G\) equivariant Chow ring of \(X\) [\textit{M. Brion}, Comment. Math. Helv. 73, 137--174 (1998; Zbl 0935.14029)]. The paper also describes, in the special case of \(G\) a semi-simple group of adjoint type, and \(X\) its wonderful compactification, the ordinary \(K\)-ring of \(X\).
