It is proved that the boundedness condition stated for the compact- metric-Borel case in the \textit{J. Horowitz'} paper [Lect. Notes Math. 581, 59-64 (1977; Zbl 0367.28007)] is valid for abstract bimeasures on measurable spaces (arbitrary) which satisfy a certain condition. This result is used to prove that if (\(\Omega\),\(\tau\)) and (\(\Gamma\),\(\delta\)) are two arbitrary measurable spaces, X is a Banach space and b: \(\tau\times \delta \to X\) is a vector bimeasure, then b can be extended to a \(weak^*\sigma\)-additive measure b: \(\sigma\) (\(\tau\times \delta)\to X^{**}\) if and only if \(\sup_{\pi \in \Pi}\| \sum_{(A,B)}b(A,B)\| <+\infty,\) where \(\Pi\) denotes the family of all finite measurable partitions of \(\Omega\times \Gamma\). Now some results about the extension of vector bimeasures are obtained from the last one.
