Uniform convergence of multiparameter eigenfunction expansions (Q2644839)

Subject of investigations is a multiparameter system (the parameters are \(\lambda_ 1,...,\lambda_ k\), where \(\lambda_ s\) are complex numbers) of ordinary linear differential equations with boundary conditions. Based on known results on eigenfunction expansions and on a coercive inequality proved by the author uniformness of the convergence of the eigenfunction expansion is shown, if certain inequalities are satisfied. [A multiparameter system satisfying these conditions is said to be ``right'' respectively ``left'' definite.] Satisfaction of weaker conditions can be sufficient.
