The authors study the Hölder regularity of the spatial gradient of solutions for nonlinear parabolic systems of \(p\)-Laplacian type \[ \partial_t u^i-\text{div}(|Du|^{p-2}Du^i)=\text{div}(|g|^{p-2}g^i)+F^i(z,Du) \] where \(i=1,\dots ,n\), \(\frac{2N}{N+2}<p<\infty\), N is the dimension of the space, \(g\) is a given vector-valued function and the functions \(F^i\) are Carathéodory functions that satisfy some suitable growth and integrability conditions. The gradient Hölder regularity of solutions of evolutionary \(p\)-Laplacian systems was originally established in the seminal papers by DiBenedetto and Friedman by introducing the intrinsic geometry associated with the evolutionary operator. Note that, in the vectorial case, the details of the gradient regularity are explained only when the external forces are zero. The gradient regularity was also studied by Kuusi and Mingione. Their method for the proof is based on a new and sharp perturbation argument under the intrinsic scaling, proving an optimal condition of gradient continuity for external forces in suitable Lorentz spaces. In this paper, the proof given by the authors is different from the previous ones. Their gradient Hölder estimates are obtained without using the intrinsic scaling. This new approach works for a larger class of right-hand side terms in the evolutionary \(p\)-Laplacian systems.
