The author considers the following generalization of the Bell and Stirling numbers. Let the \(s\) functions \(f_i(x)\) satisfy \[ f'_i(x)=1+\sum_{m=1}^\infty c_{mi}f_i^m(x), \qquad (i=1,2,\dots, s), \] where all \(c_{mi}\) are integers, and let \(F_0(x)=f_0(x)\), \(F_n(x)=F_{n-1}(f_n(x))\) \((n=1,2,\dots)\); then consider the integers \(\sigma(c,r,s)\) defined by \[ F_{s-1}(uf_s(x))=\sum_{r=1}^\infty \frac{x^r}{r!} \sum_{c=1}^r u^c \sigma(c,r,s) \] and \(\beta(r,s)=\sum_{c=1}^r \sigma(c,r,s)\). For these integers congruence properties mod \(p^k\) (\(p\) prime) are derived and their periodicity, as function of \(r\), mod \(p^k\) is investigated.
