This paper deals with the mathematical analysis of a model representing the dynamics of a zooplankton-nutrient system. The model modifies some published models by other authors, by introducing a logistic law for the concentration of nutrients, and consists of an integro-differential system including a discrete time delay and a distributed time delay. First, uniform persistence of solutions is established. Then, using the \textit{linear chain trick technique}, the model is transformed into a nonlinear differential system with discrete delay. Existence, local and global stability of a unique positive equilibrium are analyzed. Considering the delay as a parameter, sufficient conditions for the existence of a Hopf bifurcation are stated.
