Let \(Q\) be a quiver of Dynkin type \(\mathbb{D}\) and \(T\) a representation of \(Q\) such that \(\text{Ext}_Q^1(T,T)=0\). \textit{Ch. Riedtmann} and \textit{G. Zwara} [Comment. Math. Helv. 79, No. 2, 350-361 (2004; Zbl 1063.14052)] studied the set \(\mathcal Z(\mathbf d)\) of the common zeroes of the non-constant semi-invariants for the natural action of \(\prod_{i\in Q_0}\text{GL} (d_x)\) on the representation space \(\text{rep}(Q,\mathbf d)\), where \(\mathbf d\) is the dimension vector of \(T\). In particular, they have shown that \(\mathcal Z(\mathbf d)\) is a set-theoretic (irreducible) complete intersection provided each indecomposable direct summand of \(T\) appears in the decomposition of \(T\) with multiplicity at least \(2\) (\(3\), respectively). In the paper, the author refines this result. In particular, he shows that it suffices to check the above condition for at most one indecomposable direct summand of \(T\) (having a special form).
