Suppose that \(A\) is a \(C^{*}\)-algebra associated to a directed graph and that \(I\) is a nontrivial proper ideal in \(A\) such that either \(I\) is the unique nontrivial proper ideal in \(A\), or that \(I\) is AF and contains all other proper ideals. In this setting, that authors show that \(A\) is determined up to stable isomorphism by the six-term exact sequence in \(K\)-theory associated to the extension \(0\to I\to A\to A/I\to 0\). The authors use graph theory techniques to show that the results of \textit{S.\,Eilers, G.\,Restorff} and \textit{E.\,Ruiz} [Adv.\ Math.\ 222, No.\,6, 2153--2172 (2009; Zbl 1207.46055)] are applicable. The paper concludes with some interesting applications.
