Let \(\pi = \pi(C)\) be the flag-transitive translation plane of Rao of order 49 associated with the spread set \(C\). The set \(C\) consists of forty-nine \(2 \times 2\) matrices, including the zero and identity matrices, whose differences are non-singular. Let \(\pi^t = \pi(C^t)\) be the transposed translation plane defined by the transpose of the matrices in \(C\). The authors show that (a) the automorphism group of \(\pi^t\) is flag-transitive, (b) \(\pi\) is not isomorphic to \(\pi^t\), and (c) \(\pi^t\) can be derived from \(\pi\) by replacing a net of degree 25. The 1347 mutually non-isomorphic translation planes of order 49 have been enumerated by \textit{R. Mathon} and \textit{G. F. Royle} [Des. Codes Cryptography 5, No. 1, 57--72 (1995; Zbl 0819.51003)] and later by \textit{C. Charnes} and \textit{U. Dempwolff} [Math. Comput. 67, No. 223, 1207--1224 (1998; Zbl 0902.51002)]. The authors identify the planes \(\pi\) and \(\pi^t\) within these lists.
