Given two measure-preserving maps \(T:X\rightarrow X\) and \(S:Y\rightarrow Y\) on probability spaces \((X,\beta, \mu)\) and \((Y,\eta, \nu)\), an orbit equivalence is a measurable invertible map \(\varphi :X'\rightarrow Y'\), where \(X'\) and \(Y'\) are full measure measurable invariant subsets, with inverse also measurable, such that \(\mu \circ \varphi ^{-1}=\nu\) and \(\varphi\) maps orbits of \(T\) to orbits of \(S\). In this context, Dye's theorem states that any two measure-preserving maps are orbit-equivalent. Dye's theorem is centered in purely measure-theoretic properties, and this paper explores also topological ones. Namely, the main result states that if \(X\) and \(Y\) are Polish spaces and \(T\) and \(S\) are ergodic measure-preserving homeomorphisms (the invariant measures are non-atomic), then there are \(G_{\delta}\) invariant subsets of full measure \(X'\subset X\) and \(Y'\subset Y\) and a measure-preserving homeomorphism \(\varphi :X'\rightarrow Y'\) which maps orbits of \(T\) on orbits of \(S\). A version of this result for infinite invariant measures is also stated.
