    Let \[M_{\beta } (z)=\sum _{n=0}^{\infty }\frac{(-1)^{n} z^{n} }{n!\Gamma (-\beta n+1-\beta )} \quad (0<\beta <1) \] be the M-Wright function. The author explicitly determines the eigenfunctions \(\phi _{n} (t)\) for the integral equation \[\int _{0}^{\infty }t^{-\beta } M_{\beta } (st^{-\beta } )\, \phi _{n} (t)dt=\beta ^{n+1} {\kern 1pt} \phi _{n} (s).\] Namely, \[\phi _{n} (t)=\frac{1}{t} \sum _{k=0}^{n}\binom{n}{k} (-1)^{k} \Gamma ^{(n-k)} (1)\ln ^{k} (t),\] where \(\Gamma ^{(p)} (1)=\int _{0}^{\infty }e^{-t} \ln ^{p} (t)dt, p=0,1,\dots \). The values \(\Gamma ^{(p)}(1)\) are explicitly computed up to \(p=5\). The paper contains also an application of the above result to integral operators with Mittag-Leffler kernels.
