Estimate for the difference of operators having different basis functions (Q2657351)

In the last years several papers were published, dealing with differences of positive linear operators. The author of the present article establishes a general estimate for such differences in terms of weighted modulus of continuity. The general results are illustrated with examples involving Baskakov and Szász-Mirakyan, respectively Szász-Mirakyan and Baskakov-Kantorovich operators. Graphical representations are presented for such examples.
