An analytical investigation of a Maxwell nano-fluid with Cattaneo-Christov heat flux due to thermal radiation is carried out in this paper. A steady, viscous, incompressible, magneto-hydrodynamic fluid based on Carbon Nano Tube (CNT) theory is considered on a vertical sheet with the upper layer radiative transfer to environment. The continuity and momentum equations are written in a boundary layer approximation along with an equation of radiation. The radiative heat flux is approximated by the Roseland diffusion equation. Streamfunctions are introduced, the equations are transformed into dimensionless form, and a similarity transform is used. Numerical solutions are obtained, and the results show that the skin friction coefficient and the Nusselt number are higher in the case of multi-walled carbon nano-tube as compared to single wall carbon nano-tube. The paper presents a lot of useful information about the heat transfer in the CNT based nano-fluids.
