The authors recently introduced solutions of the classical string equations that present a picture of an emergent universe similar to that of string gas cosmology [\textit{H. Bernardo} et al., ``String cosmology backgrounds from classical string geometry'', Preprint, \url{arXiv:2005.08324}]. This paper argues that these models solve the size and horizon problems.
