    The main results are the following two theorems. Theorem. Let \(0 < p \le 1\), \(1 < q\le 2\), \(b=na(1/p+1/q-1)\) and \(k = [n(1/p+1/q-1)]+1\). Choose \(M\in \mathbb N^+\) such that \( M-1\le 1/p+1/q-1 < M\) and let \(s=k \mod M\), \(0\le s< M\). Suppose that for any \(R > 0\) \( \left(R^{-n}\int_{R/2<|\xi| < R}|D^{\alpha}m(\xi)|^qd\xi\right)^{1/q}\le CR^{-b}R^{(a-1)|\alpha|_1}, \) where \(|\alpha|_1=\sum_{i=1}^n\alpha_i\le k\) and if \(|\alpha|_1 < k\) then \(\alpha_i\in\{0, M\}\), \(i=1, 2,\ldots , n\); but if \(|\alpha|_1=k\) then \(\alpha_i\in\{0, M, s\}\), \(i=1, 2,\ldots , n\), and there exists only one component \(i\) such that \(\alpha_i=s\). If either (i) \(a, b\ge 0\), \(m\in C^k(\mathbb R^n)\) and \(m(\xi) = 0\) for \(|\xi|\le 1\) or (ii) \(a, b\le 0\), \(m\) is bounded, \(m\in C^k(\mathbb R^n\setminus\{0\})\) and \(m(\xi) = 0\) for \(|\xi|\ge 1\), then \(m\) is a Fourier multiplier on \(H^p(\mathbb R^n)\). Theorem. Given \(p>1\), let \(b=an|\frac1p-\frac12|\) and \(k=[n|\frac1p-\frac12|] + 1\). Suppose there exists a constant \(C\) such that \(|D^{\alpha}m(\xi)|\le C|\xi|^{-b}|\xi|^{(a-1)|\alpha|_1}\), \(|\xi|\not= 0\), for \(|\alpha|_1\le k\) and \(\alpha_i\le 1\), \(i=1, 2, \ldots , n\). If either (i) \(a, b\ge 0\), \(m\in C^k(\mathbb R^n)\) and \(m(\xi)=0\) for \(|\xi|\le 1\) or (ii) \(a, b\le 0\), \(m\) is bounded, \(m\in C^k(\mathbb R^n\setminus\{0\})\) and \(m(\xi)=0\) for \(|\xi|\ge 1\), then \(m\) is a Fourier multiplier on \(L^p(\mathbb R^n)\).
