In the first part of the paper the authors give an introduction to bounded commutators and applications. The second part of the paper deals with general theorems and technical lemmas in linear settings with suitable proofs studied earlier by \textit{A. P. Calderón} [Proc. Natl. Acad. Sci. USA 53, 1092--1099 (1965; Zbl 0151.16901)]. In the third part of the paper the authors give general theorems and technical lemmas in multilinear settings with suitable proofs studied earlier by \textit{L. Chaffee} and \textit{D. Cruz-Uribe} [Math. Inequal. Appl. 21, No. 1, 1--16 (2018; Zbl 1384.42012)]. In the last part of the paper the authors give examples and applications of BMO and commutators in linear settings, multilinear settings, Lipschitz function spaces and commutators, general \(\mathrm{BMO}_\mu\), which includes \(\mathrm{BMO}(\mathbb{R}^n)\), \(\mathrm{Lip}_\beta(\mathbb{R}^n)\), and their weighted versions via boundedness of commutators in various function spaces .
