For an elliptic curve \(E\) over \(\mathbb{Q}\), it is conjectured that the leading term at \(s=1\) of \(L(E,s)\) is described by the significant arithmetic invariants such as the regulator, Tate-Sharevich group, etc. The aim of the paper under review is to give a BSD-type formula for the leading term BSD\((E,\rho)\) at \(s=1\) for \(L(E,\rho, s)\) for an Artin representation \(\rho\) over \(\mathbb{Q}\). As is shown in the paper, the elliptic curves with the same arithmetic invariants give the different \(L\)-values and so the authors do not propose an exact expression for BSD\((E,\rho)\) but they show that BSD\((E,\rho)\) satisfies the good properties under conjectures which are believed to be true. It is worthy of a special mention that they show that these properties of BSD\((E,\rho)\) force some peculiar and interesting properties of the arithmetic invariants such as the Tate-Shafarevich group, Selmer group, etc. Usually, these results are obtained by the Galois modules or Iwasawasa theory and so one can say that their method is interesting and has the potential for the study of the new phenomenons of arithmetic elliptic curves.
