    In this study, the authors consider the following matrix Cauchy problem for the Dirac system \[ D^{\prime}\left( x\right) +\left[\begin{array}[c]{ll} 0 & \sigma_{1}\left( x\right) \\ \sigma_{2}\left( x\right) & 0\end{array}\right] D\left( x\right) =i\mu\left[\begin{array}[c]{ll}1 & 0\\ 0 & -1\end{array}\right] D\left( x\right),~\ x\in\left[0,1\right],~D\left(0\right)=\left[\begin{array}[c]{ll} 1 & 0\\ 0 & -1\end{array}\right], \] where \(\mu\in\mathbb{C}\) is a spectral parameter and \(\sigma_{j}\in L_{2}[0,1]\), \(j=1,2\). Based on a special integral representation for the solution, they obtain much sharper asymptotic behavior of the solutios of the system as \(\mu\rightarrow\infty\). Then, they investigate of Sturm-Liouville equations with singular potentials as an application.
