The aim of this paper is to extend a recent result by \textit{S. Verma} and \textit{G. Santhanam} [Monatsh. Math. 193, No. 4, 879--899 (2020; Zbl 1450.35201)] from Euclidean spaces to two-point homogeneous spaces (including the plane). More precisely, let \(M\) be a two-point homogeneous space and \(B_1\), \(B_2\) two geodesic balls of radii \(R_1,R_2\), respectively such that the closure of \(B_1\) is included in \(B_2\) and the radius \(R_2\) is less than the injectivity radius of \(M\). The author considers the Steklov-Dirichlet eigenvalue problem: \[\left\lbrace \begin{array}{rc} \Delta u = 0 & \mbox{in }B_2\setminus \bar{B_1} \\ u = 0 & \mbox{on }\partial B_1 \\ \frac{\partial u}{\partial n} = \sigma u & \mbox{on }\partial B_2 \end{array}\right.\] He proves that the first eigenvalue \(\sigma_1\) attains its maximum if and only if the two balls are concentric.
