The authors answer two problems concerning the topological concept of sobriety, a very important and useful property when working in the framework of non-Hausdorff topological spaces. With respect to the two questions that constitute the main body of the paper, while the first one studies the existence of a closed set lattice such that its associated Scott space fails to be sober, the second one analyzes the reflectivity of a category of \(k\)-bounded sober spaces. As a by-product, the authors furnish some sufficient conditions for a directed complete partially ordered set to be \(k\)-bounded well-filtered.
