Let \((M,g,J)\) be a compact Hermitian manifold with the operator of almost complex structure \(J\). The Chern connection on \(TM\) is the connection \(\nabla\) characterized by the following properties: (1) \(\nabla g=0\), (2) \(\nabla J=0\), (3) \(T(X,JY)=T(JX,Y)\) for \(X,Y\in TM\), where \(T(X,Y)\) is the torsion tensor. Let \(\Omega\) denote the curvature tensor of \(\nabla\). Due to torsion of \(\nabla\), four different contractions of the curvature \(\Omega\) can be defined. In particular, the second Chern-Ricci curvature tensor is defined by \(S_{i\bar j}(g):=\Omega_{m\bar ni\bar j}g^{m\bar n}\). The Hermitian Curvature Flow (HCF shortly) is an evolution equation \(\frac{\partial}{\partial t}g=-S(g)+Q(T)\), where \(Q(T)\) is an arbitrary type-(1,1) quadratic term in the torsion of \(g\). If \((M,g,J)\) is Kähler, then \(S(g)=Ric(g)\), \(T=0\), and the HCF coincides with the Kähler-Ricci flow. In this paper, the author studies the HCF with \(Q(T)_{i\bar j}=-1/2g^{m\bar n}g^{p\bar s}T_{mp\bar j}T_{\bar n\bar s i}\). The purpose of this paper is to prove that the HCF on an Hermitian manifold \((M,g,J)\) preserves many natural curvature positivity conditions. The author constructs a convex set of curvature operators, which is invariant under the HCF. The author proves that the HCF preserves Griffiths positivity, Dual-Nakano positivity, positivity of holomorphic orthogonal bisectional curvature, lower bounds on the second scalar curvature. As an application, the author proves that periodic solutions to the HCF can exist only on manifolds \(M\) with trivial canonical bundle on the universal cover \(\widetilde{M}\).
