The paper addresses the design of an observer to estimate the state of a finite-dimensional nonautonomous linear control system. The output is subject to a time-dependent delay. Under general assumptions the authors show that the proposed observer gives the exact state for time large enough. To derive the results the authors combine tools previously developed by themselves and co-authors in previous works; see the paper's abstract. Results of simulations are presented confirming the theoretical results.
