The authors are concerned with a system of non-isentropic compressible magnetohydrodynamics taking the Hall effect into account, in the whole space \({\mathbb R}^3.\) They assume that diffusion is present in all the equations (except in the mass conservation equation of course), and they focus on the case of perfect gases. The main issue is to understand the so-called low Mach number limit for this system, in the framework of smooth local-in-time solutions. After establishing uniform estimates with respect to the Mach number, the authors succeed in proving the convergence of the solutions to those of a limit system that looks like the incompressible Hall MHD system, but with a nonlinear constraint on the divergence of the velocity and the temperature. The overall strategy is taken from a previous work by \textit{G. Métivier} and \textit{S. Schochet} [Arch. Ration. Mech. Anal. 158, No. 1, 61--90 (2001; Zbl 0974.76072)].
