An action of a Lie group \(G\) on a connected manifold \(M\) is called a cohomogeneity one action, if the minimum codimension of its orbits equals 1. In this article cohomogeneity one isometric actions on the 4-dimensional Minkowski space \(\mathbb{R}^{3,1}\) are considered. An explicit classification of such groups in \(\text{Iso}(\mathbb{R}^{3,1})\) as subgroups of \(\text{Iso}(\mathbb{R}^{3,1})\) (up to conjugations) is given. Actions of some of them are not proper and it is found which groups \(G\) act properly and which don't. For proper actions the orbits and the orbit spaces are determined. In particular it is proved that the orbit space here is homeomorphic to \(\mathbb{R}\) or \([0, \infty)\) and that every singular orbit (if there is any), is either a one dimensional timelike affine subspace or a two dimensional Lorentzian affine subspace of \(\text{Iso}(\mathbb{R}^{3,1})\).
