Let \(G\) be a locally compact group, \(B(G)\) the Fourier-Stieltjes algebra of G and \(B_0(G) =B(G) \bigcap C_0(G)\). The space \(B_0(G)\) is a closed ideal of \(B(G)\). In the paper under review, the authors prove the Bochner-Schoenberg-Eberlein property for \(B_0(G)\) and a characterization of elements in \(B_0(G)\) in terms of the continuity of translation properties. A comparison of the spectra of \(B_0(G)\) and of its ideal \(A(G)\) is discussed. Finally, extensions of some known characterizations of functions in \(B_0(G)\), for abelian groups \(G\), in terms of the continuity of translation properties to some nonabelian groups are given.
