The paper performs heat and mass transfer studies of a magnetic hybrid nanofluid based on the single wall carbon nanotube, over bidirectional porous surface. The conservation equations of mass, momentum and energy and species concentration are transformed into non-dimensional form by the use of some similarity transformations. The Runge-Kutta-Fehlberg method with an embedded shooting scheme is used for the numerical solution of the transformed equations. Although the numerical scheme is of the fourth order, no estimate of the numerical errors is presented to demonstrate the usefulness of the scheme for the analysis of the present problem. Some important results are presented on the fluid flow and heat transfer characteristics of the MHD flow in a carbon nanotube. The velocities and concentration profiles of the hybrid nanofluid are accelerated. The surface drag forces are depreciated with the order of the chemical reactions and decelerated with increase of heat generation in the system. The heat transfer rate also increase with the order of the chemical reaction and with the increase of heat generation in the system.
