The Levi problem on a complex manifold asks whether or not a pseudoconvex domain in \(M\) is holomorphically convex. The main result of this paper is Theorem 0.1. Let \(M\) be a complex manifold and let \(\Omega\subset\subset M\) be a pseudoconvex domain with \(C^{2}\)-smooth boundary. Assume that \(M\) admits a Kähler metric and the canonical bundle \(K_{M}\) admits a fiber metric whose curvature form is negative on a neighborhood of \(\partial\Omega\). Then there exists a holomorphic map with connected fibers from \(\Omega\) to \(\mathbb{C}^{N}\) for some \(N\) which is proper onto the image. The proof of the theorem uses a bundle convexity theorem from [\textit{T. Ohsawa}, Ann. Pol. Math. 91, No. 2--3, 249--262 (2007; Zbl 1140.32023); Publ. Res. Inst. Math. Sci. 15, 853--870 (1979; Zbl 0434.32014); in: Complex analysis and geometry. KSCV 10. Proceedings of the 10th symposium, Gyeongju, South Korea, August 7--11, 2014. Hamb. 91, No. 1, 81--99 (2021; Zbl 1482.32010)] to construct singular fiber metrics on \(K_{M}^{-1}\) with positive curvature currents. Finally, the Kähler condition is used to produce nonconstant holomorphic functions via solving \(\overline{\partial}\) equations.
