Let \(\mathcal{R}_D\) denote the (finite) set of rational two-dimensional planes of discriminant \(D\) in \(\mathbb{R}^4\). To any such plane one can attach a point on the Grassmannian \(\mathrm{Gr}(2,4)\) together with four shapes of rank-two lattices. The authors conjecture that as \(D \to \infty\) the set of all such combinations becomes equidistributed to the uniform measure in the suitable product space. The conjecture is then proved under the assumption of two additional congruence conditions. A key ingredient in the proofs is a set of recent results by \textit{M. Einsiedler} and \textit{E. Lindenstrauss} [Publ. Math., Inst. Hautes Étud. Sci. 129, 83--127 (2019; Zbl 1423.22014)] on the classification of joinings.
