On local solvability of higher order elliptic equations in rearrangement invariant spaces (Q2671974)

The main aim of the authors is to study and obtain partial solvability of an elliptic equation, defined in a bounded domain, in the context of rearrangement invariant Sobolev spaces, under certain assumptions on the coefficients of the equation and the Boyd indices of the rearrangement invariant space. As auxiliary results the authors establish some necessary results about convolutions, useful in themselves but also applicable to the study of qualitative properties of solutions of partial differential equations. Moreover, some particular rearrangement invariant spaces are considered and the corresponding solvability theorems are stated. It is pointed out that the authors make a direct computation of the Boyd indices from the definition.
