Motivated by a paper by \textit{R. C. Vaughan} [Mich. Math. J. 21, 289--295 (1975; Zbl 0304.10008)], who studied the maximum of coefficients in absolute value of the \(n\)th cyclotomic polynomial at special arithmetic progressions, the authors introduce for a given positive integer \(m\) and a prescribed set \(S\) of arithmetic progressions modulo \(m\), the number \(n_x\)=\(N\) as the product of the primes \(p\le x\) lying in these progressions, and prove that, under certain conditions there exists \(j_x\)=\(J\) such that \(\log \left|\phi_N(\zeta_m^J\right| /d(N)\) tends to a positive limit. Here \(\zeta_m\)= \(\exp(2\pi i/m)\) and \(\phi_N\) is the \(N\)-th cyclotomic polynomial. The proofs are based on the arithmetic of cyclotomic fields, non-standard properties of character tables of finite abelian groups, as well as a recent theorem by \textit{B. Bzdęga} et al. [Acta Arith. 184, No. 3, 215--230 (2018; Zbl 1435.11060)]. The case when \(m\) is prime is studied separately.
