The authors study connections between \(\overline{A_{3}}(n)\), respectively \(\overline{B_{3}}(n)\); and the singular overpartition functions \(\overline{C_{12, 5}}(n)\) and \(\overline{C_{12, 1}}(n)\). The combinatorial proofs for the identities \begin{itemize} \item[(i)] \(\overline{C_{12, 5}}(n) = \overline{C_{12, 1}}(n-1), n>1.\); \item[(ii)] \(\overline{A_{3}}(n) = \overline{C_{12, 5}}(n)+\overline{C_{12, 1}}(n-1), n\ge0\) are given. \end{itemize} Further, it is showed that the overpartition function \(\overline{C_{12, 1}}(n)\) and \(\overline{C_{12, 5}}(n)\) are closely related to \(\overline{B_{3}}(n)\); and the linear recurrence relation for the overpartition function \(\overline{B_{3}}(n)\). Several related results are also discussed. At the end authors leave a conjecture which state that, for \(l>1, n\ge0\), \(\sqrt{\overline{p}(n)\overline{A_{l}}(n)}\le\overline{B_{l}}(n)\), where all symbols and notations are having their usual meanings.
