Let \(\{ R_n\}_{n\geq 0}\) be a binary recurrent sequence satisfying \( R_{n+2}=A_1R_{n+1}+A_2R_n\) for all non-negative integers \(n\) where \(A_1\), \(A_2\), \(R_0\) and \(R_1\) are rational integers satisfying some conditions. Let \(K\) and \(O_K\) be a number field and the ring of its integers. Let \(r\) be a rational integer such that \(r\geq 2\). Let \(\{ a_n\}_{n\geq 0}\) and \(\{ b_n\}_{n\geq 0}\) be sequences in \(K\) and \(O_K\), respectively with some conditions and satisfying \(\log\max (\mid \overline{a_k}\mid ,\mathrm{den}(a_k), \mid \overline{b_k}\mid ,\mathrm{den}(b_k) )=o(r^k)\), where \(\mid \overline{x}\mid\) is maximum of absolute values of conjugates of \(x\) and \(\mathrm{den}(x)\) denotes the least positive integer such that \(\mathrm{den}(x) x\) is an algebraic integer. Set \(\zeta =\prod_{k=1}^\infty (1+\frac {a_k}{R_{r^k}+b_k})\). Then the number \(\zeta\) is algebraic only in a special cases for \(r=2\) or \(r=3\). Several corollaries and examples are included, for example they prove that \(\prod_{k=1}^\infty (1+\frac 2{\sqrt 5F_{3^k}-1})\) is the golden ratio, where \(\{ F_n\}_{n\geq 0}\) is the Fibonacci sequence.
