Given a group \(N\), its subgroup \(H\), and a ring \(R\), there is a restriction functor \(F\) and induction functor \(G\) between the module categories \(Mod-RN\) and \(Mod-RH\) over the group rings. They form a adjoint pair which is also a Frobenius pair in sense of [\textit{F. CastaƱo Iglesias} et al., Commun. Algebra 27, 10, 4879--4900, (1999; Zbl 0949.16038)]. One of the functors in this pair is call Frobenius functor. This paper is concerned the version of Frobenius functor between two abelian categories. In some concrete context, serval works have showed the relations between Frobenius functor and Gorenstein projective dimension, e.g. [\textit{J. Hu} et al., Commun. Algebra 48, 3, 1257--1265, (2020; Zbl 1444.13023)], [\textit{W. Ren}, J. Algebra 612, 431--459, (2022; Zbl 1498.18006) ] et al. This paper gives a unified answer to the question: Which kind of Frobenius functor between two abelian categories preserve and reflect Gorenstein projective objects? The main result of this paper shows that a faithful Frobenius functor between abelian catgeries with enough projective objects really preserves and reflects Gorenstein projective objects. Furthermore, there is a characterization that the induced adjoint pairs between the the stable categories of Gorenstein projective objects, the singularity categories and the Gorenstein defect categories give triangle equivalence.
