    This book is written in a clear and readable style and consists of three related parts: functional analysis (2 chapters), the Lebesgue integral (4 chapters), and function spaces (3 chapters). In Part 1, the author gives fundamental theorems on Hilbert spaces, Banach spaces and locally convex spaces. Most results in this introduction to functional analysis are illustrated by the \(\ell^p\)-spaces. Part 2 is a very good source for a course in real analysis and includes the Lebesgue integral on the real line as well as the general integration on measure spaces. Part 3 is devoted to the study of spaces of continuous functions and \(L^p\)-spaces. The author gathers a collection of exercises in each chapter and presents some hints and solutions to some of them at the end of the book, helping the readers to develop their knowledge. The book is indeed a comprehensive study of \(L^p\)-spaces, useful for graduate students in mathematics, physics and engineering.
