Let \(G\) be a finite group and \(B(G)\) denote its Burnside ring. For elements of \(B(G)\) author defines \(n\)-eigenponent, which is a generalization of an idempotent. A classic result of Dress states that \(B(G)\) is solvable if and only if \(B(G)\) has no nontrivial idempotents. Through a study of \(p\)-eigenpotens, the author shows that the solvability holds if \(B(G)\) has only finitely many nontrivial \(p\)-eigenpotents (Theorem \(3.12\)). The Feit-Thompson Theorem states that every group of odd order is solvable and the author finds equivalences for this classic result too (Theorem \(4.2\)). The last main result of the paper regards the units of \(B(G)\). The author defines a partial order on \(B(G)\) in terms of the values under the marks homomrphism and proves the equivalence between certain conditions involving the maximal elements of \(B(G)\) (Theorem \(5.6\)).
