The authors investigate feedback stabilization (in the sense of globally exponentially stable) of the zero equilibrium of scalar semilinear parabolic PDEs with Dirichlet boundary conditions on the unit interval, whose nonlinearity satisfies a linear growth constraint. They design controls of nonlocal type and boundary type based on the Fourier eigenfunctions, and exploit suitable differential inequalities to obtain sufficient conditions for the existence of a strict Lyapunov function.
