Let \(K\) be a field, and \(R=K[X_{1},\dots,X_{n}]\) a polynomial ring in \(n\) variables. For a monomial ideal \(\mathfrak{a}\) of \(R\), let \(G(\mathfrak{a})\) denote the unique minimal monomial generating set of \(\mathfrak{a}\). A monomial ideal \(\mathfrak{a}\) of \(R\) is called polymatroidal if it is generated in a single degree with the exchange property that for each two elements \(u,v\in G(I)\) with \(\deg_{X_{i}}(u) > \deg_{X_{i}}(v)\) for some \(0\leq i\leq n\), there exists an integer \(0\leq j\leq n\) such that \(\deg_{X_{j}}(u) < \deg_{X_{j}}(v)\) and \(X_{j}(u/X_{i})\in \mathfrak{a}\). A polymatroidal ideal is called matroidal if it is generated by square-free monomials. For a matroidal ideal \(\mathfrak{a}\) of \(R\) with degree \(d\), let \(\mathrm{astab}(\mathfrak{a})\) and \(\mathrm{dstab}(\mathfrak{a})\) denote the smallest integers \(m\) and \(n\) for which \(\mathrm{Ass}(R/ \mathfrak{a}^{m})\) and \(\mathrm{depth}(\mathfrak{a}^{n},R)\) stabilize, respectively. In this paper, the authors show that \(\mathrm{astab}(\mathfrak{a})=1\) if and only if \(\mathrm{dstab}(\mathfrak{a})=1\). Moreover, they prove that if \(d=3\), then \(\mathrm{astab}(\mathfrak{a})=\mathrm{dstab}(\mathfrak{a})\). Furthermore, they show that if \(\mathfrak{a}\) is an almost square-free Veronese type ideal of degree \(d\), then \(\mathrm{astab}(\mathfrak{a})=\mathrm{dstab}(\mathfrak{a})=\lceil \frac{n-1}{n-d} \rceil\).
