\textit{P. P. Belinskii} [General properties of quasiconformal mappings. Novosibirsk: Nauka (1974)] gave a theorem which is a deep underlying result in the variational calculus for quasiconformal maps. Belinskii's result involves only sufficiently smooth Beltrami coefficients with small norm. Let \(\mu_{n}\) be the \(n\)-th iteration of some function \(\mu\) under a well-known integral operators. Set \[ f_{n}(z)=z-\frac{1}{\pi}\iint_{\mathbb{C}}\frac{\mu_{n}(\zeta)d\xi d\eta}{\zeta-z}. \] The question of Vekua was that whether all \(f_{n}\) also are homeomorphism. A counterexample of T. Iwaniec shows that the smoothness and the smallness assumptions in Belinskii's theorem cannot be dropped completely. In this paper, the author provides a global version of Belinskii's theorem connected with the classical results on quasiconformal extensions of conformal maps. At the end of the paper, the author also gives some new applications of the global version of Belinskii's theorem.
