Frame wavelets of local fields with no dual wavelet frames (Q2684679)

Let \(K\) be a local field of positive characteristic. Let \(|\cdot|\) be the valuation on \(K\) and let \(\mathfrak{D}=\{x\in K: |x|\leq 1\}\). Equip \(K\) with the Haar measure it has as a locally compact abelian group normalized so that the measure of \(\mathfrak{D}\) is~$1$. The author considers frame wavelets in this setting. The main results are that there exists a frame wavelet \(\psi\) in \(L^2(K)\) for which there is no dual frame wavelet and the space spanned by the negative dilates of \(\psi\) is shift-invariant.
