The method of smooth triangular functions can be used to bound the uniform metric between probability distributions. In this paper, the author establishes explicit values for constants which appear in a particular lemma used when applying this method. These can, in turn, be used in establishing explicit bounds on the distance between \(n\)- and \((n+1)\)-fold convolutions of certain one-dimensional symmetric probability distributions.
