In thist work, the authors consider the problem of double interlacing between zeros of modular forms. Let \(k\geq 4\) be an even integer and let \[ E_{k}(z)=\frac{1}{2}\sum_{(c,d)\in \mathbb{Z}^{2}}\frac{1}{(cz+d)^{k}} \] be the normalized Eisenstein series of weight \(k\) for \(\mathrm{SL}(2, \mathbb{Z}\)) with \((c,d)=1\). It is known that the modular \(j\)-invariant \[ j(z)=\frac{1728E_{4}^{3}(z)}{E_{4}^{3}(z)-E_{6}^{2}(z)} \] defines a one-to-one correspondence from \[ \left\{\frac{-1}{2}+iy:y>\frac{\sqrt{3}}{2}\right\}\cup \left\{e^{i\theta}:\frac{\pi}{2}\leq \theta \leq \frac{2\pi}{3}\right\}\cup \left\{iy:y>1\right\} \] to the real line \[ \mathbb{R}=(-\infty ,0)\cup \lbrack 0,1728]\cup (1728,\infty ). \] For an even integer \(k\geq 10\), they prove that the \(j\)-invariants of the non-elliptic zeros of \[ aE_{2k}(z)-E_{k}^{2}(z) \] for \(a>2.63\) and \[ bE_{2k}(z)+E_{k}^{2}(z) \] for \(b>0\) are real and doubly interlace.
