Let \(P\) be a solid cone of a Banach algebra \((E,\|\cdot\|)\) with the respective order denoted by \(\preceq\). Let \(u_0,v_0\in E\) with \(u_0\preceq v_0\) and let \(T:[u_0,v_0]\to E\) be a nondecreasing order-Lipschitz mapping, i.e., there exist \(l,k\in P\) such that \(-l(x-y)\preceq Tx-Ty\preceq k(x-y)\) for all \(x,y\in E\) with \(y\preceq x\), as well as \(u_0\preceq Tu_0\), \(Tv_0\preceq v_0\). If, moreover, the spectral radius \(r(k)<1\) and \(T\) is Picard-complete at \(u_0\) and \(v_0\), the authors prove that \(T\) has a unique fixed point \(x^*\in[u_0,v_0]\). Normalness of the cone is not assumed, and examples are provided showing that this indeed provides a real generalization of some earlier results.
