In this article, the authors construct infinite families of pairwise non-isomorphic indecomposable totally reflexive modules of high multiplicity (Theorem 2.2, Corollary 2.8). An example of a non-free totally reflexive \(R\)-module is provided by an exact pair of zerodivisors \(\{x,y\}\). If \((R,\mathfrak{m})\) is a local ring (not necessarily complete) which is not Gorenstein and which admits a non-free totally reflexive module, then it must have infinitely many non-isomorphic indecomposable totally reflexive modules, see [\textit{L. W. Christensen} et al., Adv. Math. 218, No. 4, 1012--1026 (2008; Zbl 1148.14004)]. The main result in this paper (Corollary 2.8) replaces the assumption that the existance of an exact pair of zerodivisors, by the easily checked hypothesis that \(y\) is a non-zerodivisor on \(R/(x)\).
