On closure operators and the sieve formula (English)

Let \(\{A_{v}\}_{v\in V}\) be a finite family of sets equipped with a measure on the Boolean algebra generated by these sets. In this paper an improved sieve formula containing a smaller number of terms for any suitable closure operator on the power set of \(V\) is established, thus generalizing several well-known results from the literature.
