Contraction mapping principle in weakly metric spaces (English)
0 references
The set \(M\) on which the nonnegative function \(\rho(x,y)\) is given, such that it satisfies the identity and symmetry axioms, is called the weakly metric space and the function \(\rho\) is called the weak metric. The author discusses the contraction mapping principle in weakly metric spaces. The author establishes the estimates of convergence velocity of successive approximations.
