A survey of topological properties of circumcoronenes (English)

The hexagon-shaped benzenoid hydrocarbons are in mathematical chemistry modeled as hexagonal cell complexes of special type. The paper reviews properties of some of the elementary combinatorial invariants of such hexagonal shapes including the number of vertices, edges, cells, as well as the number of associated Kekuleé and Clar structures, the number of aromatic sextets, etc.
