The authors present a numerical simulation technique of a diffusion process and a boundary migration on liquid/solid interfaces during liquid phase sintering. This method, based on defined sub-models for rearrangement and solution-precipitation with and without densification, is seen as a part of some CAD system, allowing a better understanding of the functional connection between microstructure and properties.
